Senator Ramon “Bong” Revilla confirmed through his social media account that he tested positive with coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), Sunday, August 9.
He announced his test result through his Facebook page where he assured the public that he is fine and that his family other than him tested negative.
“Kami ay nagpatest at nag-isolate agad matapos may mag-positive sa aming household at isa sa aking mga tauhan,” the senator stated.
Revilla was in the Senate last Monday, August 3 and on August 4, his father’s 40th day since death. However, his test results were not yet released during those days.
“Sa payo po ng aking doktor ay itutuloy ko ngayon ang aking quarantine, but will be under observation,” he added.
Revilla is the fourth senator who tested positive from the pandemic along with Senators Miguel Zubiri, Koko Pimentel, and Sonny Angara.
