Actor and comedian Michael V. announced in his latest vlog that he tested positive with coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), Monday, July 20.
According to Bitoy, he experienced flu-like symptoms the last time he tried to vlog. He also stated that he had a weird sensation on his nasal area and lost his sense of smell.
“Siyempre nag-isolate na kagad ako, nag-quarantine na kagad ako. I took medicine nagpa-check up ako sa doctor online, I got better the following day,” the comedian stated.
After isolating himself for eight days, his COVID-19 test result came back as positive.
“Alam kong hindi normal yung nawala yung pang-amoy ko and I was counting na may kinalaman talaga yun sa COVID but I was praying na wala but it turns out… tutuloy lang natin mga sinabi sa ‘tin na kailangan gawin and we’ll get through this. We’ve been through worse. Sobrang nami-miss ko na yung pamilya ko,” Bitoy added.
Bitoy is among some of the television personalities like Iza Calzado, Christopher de Leon, and Howie Severino who tested positive with COVID-19.
Nationwide, the total number of those who tested positive with the pandemic already reached 67,456, with 22,465 recoveries, and 1,831 fatalities.
